内容简介：

At the second lecture, each of the stages of anaerobic digestion will be detailed from a microbial perspective, relating substrates, products, microorganisms, and the main enzymes involved. Later, emphasis will be given to carbohydrate degradation to present the case study on lignocellulosic degradation and pre-treatments for the optimization of methanogenesis from lignocellulosic materials.

报告人简介：

Dr. Laís Americo Soares was graduated in Biological Sciences (2010) with a master's degree in Biological Diversity and Conservation (2013). She is Ph.D. in Science (2017) with a thesis entitled "Anaerobic bioconversion of sugarcane bagasse into products of biotechnological value in thermophilic and mesophilic conditions, with a FAPESP grant. She was awarded a scholarship abroad (BEPE / FAPESP) at the Technological University of Delft-Netherlands (TU Delft- Netherlands). She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the São Carlos School of Engineering at the University of São Paulo (EESC / USP). She has more than 20 published papers and focuses her career on the anaerobic digestion of lignocellulosic compounds.
